Elijah Mobley, more commonly known as Eli, was born in sunny Orange County, California on October 12th, 1995, but was raised his entire life in Atlanta, Georgia. With a soul birthed in the west coast and raised in the southeast, Eli gained a respect and adoration for music that would carry on with him for a lifetime. Though Eli never picked up an official instrument until he was ten years old, he always found some way to make a tune out of whatever was around him. He would beat on encyclopedia books, pots, and whatever else he could find to the wide range of music he was brought up on by artists like Michael Jackson, Queen, Diggable Planets, Jay-Z, Earth, Wind & Fire, and even Beethoven.

When he picked up the trombone at the age of ten, his love for playing music skyrocketed. He played his instrument all through grade school and learned to read sheet music and understand various music theory concepts. When Elijah wasn’t playing trombone, he always tried his best to learn a new instrument. Though he never claims to be a master of anything he plays, Eli has practiced playing harmonica, guitar, ukulele, piano, and even saxophone. He began using GarageBand on an iPad his senior year in high school, which opened a new world of creative possibilities for him. Since then, he has improved his music making skills on several digital audio workstations, including Logic Pro X and ProTools, and is currently attending Full Sail University pursuing a BA degree in Audio Production.

Since graduating high school, Elijah has committed himself to learning how to create, mix, and master his own music. Eli aspires to be “consistent, proficient, motivational and sensational” meaning he wishes to not just be great at what he does, but to also inspire and uplift others with every gesture he makes. Though he is currently in school, it is not the degree that motivates him. “I decided to join Full Sail because I heard of their excellent career planning programs and networking opportunities. I understand the merits of having connections, and even more so relationships, when entering this industry. My goal is to connect with as many artists, engineers, and musicians as I can.”

One of his greatest musical inspirations is Danny Elfman, composer of the original Batman film score, the Sam Raimi Spider-Man film scores, and creator of the Simpson's theme song. In the future, Eli plans to work in postproduction for television and film as Elfman does. His love for film and television is almost as avid as his passion for music, and he feels working in post would satiate two desires at once. His attraction to this area of the industry spawns from a burning desire to invoke emotion in his listeners, and Eli feels film score composers and workers in post are masters of this skill. His other inspirations include Hans Zimmer (Pirates of the Carribean), Michael Giacchino (Star Trek: Into Darkness), Charlie Clouser (SAW), Bernard Herman (Psycho, 1960), John Carpenter (Halloween, 1978), and John Williams (Star Wars).
