This is Eli
His Story
Elijah Mobley, more commonly known as Eli, was born in sunny Orange County, California on October 12th, 1995, but was raised his entire life in Atlanta, Georgia. With a soul birthed on the west coast and raised in the southeast, Eli gained respect and adoration for music that would carry on with him for a lifetime.
Though he never picked up an official instrument until he was ten years old, Eli always found some way to make a tune out of whatever was around him. He would beat on encyclopedia books, pots, and whatever else he could find to the wide range of music he was brought up on by artists like Michael Jackson, Queen, Diggable Planets, Jay-Z, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Beatles, and even Beethoven.
When he picked up the trombone in the third grade, his love for playing music skyrocketed. He played his instrument all through grade school and learned to read sheet music and understand various music theory concepts. When Elijah wasn’t playing trombone, he always tried his best to learn a new instrument. Though he never claims to be a master of anything he plays, Eli has practiced playing harmonica, guitar, ukulele, piano, and even saxophone.
He began using GarageBand on an iPad his senior year in high school, which opened a new world of creative possibilities for him. Since then, he has improved his music-making skills on several digital audio workstations, including Logic Pro X and ProTools. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Audio Production, with flying colors, from Full Sail University in October of 2022. He is now a production manager, studio manager, and audio engineer in his hometown of Atlanta.
